ABOUT US
We are one of the three robotics teams here at the Lake. As the Senior team, we've carried on our team name from our previous FRC Team - 4474, and we are proud to represent the history of our team!
Silver Circuit is currently in its sixth year. However, last year was our first year competing in the First Tech Challenge competition. We competed in the First Robotics Competition the for four years, however chose to switch to the FTC competition. This change was made after we lost two of our mentors as well as access to a majority of the resources we had. We simply no longer had the resources to manufacture and produce the parts that we needed at the speed necessary in the limited time frame of FRC. We had also lost the entirety of our founding team, and with the switch from FRC we split the remaining members into two FTC teams, Silver Circuit (11358) and SilverBots (11359). Team 12956 (Lakerbots) was added for the 2017-18 season. This restructuring left us with an extremely small team of only six members. As a majority of the members are also involved in sports and other activities, this has made meeting with the all the members profoundly difficult. However, we have striven to remain focused and we are determined to present our best. We are a resilient and resourceful team, even if we have fewer resources now than ever.
Awards/Achievements in FRC:
2013 - Rookie Inspiration Award
2014 - Industrial Safety Award
2015 - Imagery Award,
ranked 19th
2016 - Ranked 14th (team record),
Semifinalists (team record)
Awards/ Achievements in FTC:
2016-17 - Ranked 3rd, at "Who Let the Bots Out?” competition at Canton High School, December 4, 2016
Finalist Alliance Captains,
invited to the Massachusetts State Championships
